Whisper of the heart was my favourite anime when I was young. This story is about a girl named Shizuku who loves reading books and is writing a story of her own. She always borrows books from the library. When she looked at the checkout cards of the book she borrowed, she found that some of the books she borrowed has been checked out by another person who is called Seiji. She first met Seiji when she followed a cat and found herself in front of an antique shop who is owned by a man clled Shiro Nishi. Inside that shop, she found a cat statuette called "The Baron". She finds it very attractive.

Shizuku has a friend called Yuko. She is in love with a guy called Sugimura. Yuko confessed her love to him but was rejected by Sugimura as he was in love with another person. Feeling heartbroken, she went to Shizuku's house. Shizuku was angry at Sugimura for causing her friend pain. She confronted Sugimura. She then found out that the girl he liked, was her. He confessed to her but she turned him down.
Sizuku has been going to the antique shop often and she once sang the song "Country Road, Take Me Home" there while Seiji played the violin. They were joined by Shiro Nishi and his friends. She then found out that Shiro Nishi was the grandfather of Seiji.
Seiji is a violin maker and he decided to go to Italy for a two-month study with a master violin maker. Shizuku also wanted to test her talent and decided to write a book about the cat statuette, The Baron. She asks the shop owner Shiro Nishi is she could do so and since she got his approval, she decided to go for it.When the writing was done, she went to the antique shop gave the manuscript to Nishi. He read it and he began to tell her about his young life. Shizuku then returned home and fell asleep. In the morning, she woke up only to find that Seiji had returned. He was outside her house on a bicycle. He invited her to see the sunrise with him. Later on, when they watched the sunrise appear, Seiji confesses his love for Shizuku and proposes a future marriage. Shizuku happily accepts it.

I find this anime interesting because of the plot and the flow of the story. It teaches you to follow your dreams. Shizuku followed hers by writing a book and Seiji followed his by taking a two-month study for violin making in Italy. She bothe did what they loved to do despite the difficulties they had to face. Shizuku found it hard to juggle her studies and write a book at the same time. She also missed having Seiji around. The Ending was lovely as Seiji returned a day early from Italy and went to her house early in the morning asking her t go watch the sunrise with him. She was overjoyed to see him and rushed down to meet him. While they were watchig the sunrise together, he proposes a marriage and Shizuku happily accepts it. This part was one of my favourite as they happily untied with one another.
Enjoy Whisper Of The Heart~
